Retirement Savings Calculator Spreadsheet
How big could your retirement savings get, and what would that buy at today's prices? Enter your age, retirement age, current savings, monthly contributions, a yearly increase, expected return, fees and inflation. The calculator compounds every month and builds a year-by-year projection. It shows your pot at retirement in future money and in today's money, how much came from contributions and how much from growth, and an illustrative first-year income using a withdrawal rate you choose (4% by default — a historical US rule of thumb, editable, not a guarantee). It compares that income with your target, works out the pot you would need and shows how long the money lasts as withdrawals rise with inflation. Two charts are included and it works in any currency.
